LNER tickets

Now i may have to end up driving But is there a big problem on the East Coat on Sat 26th Oct
As journey times seem to be double what they normally are ,and even more weird i am unable to book a 'day return' from KX to York on the LNER site ( apart from the fact that i cannot find a fare under double what i paid a few weeks ago 35ish..now 74.00)

also the journey times are three hours plus!!

I would rather go by train,but as i have to get into London From Bracknell ( another £18.00 and a further 90 mins on the journey) the car looks a no brainer. ( 400 miles at 40 mpg same time and 20.00 cheaper)

Anybody know what has gone pear shaped on this route that day?

Throughout Saturday [26th October] and until 12.00 Sunday LNER will be running an hourly service between London Kings Cross and Newcastle / Scotland, and one service every alternate hour between London Kings Cross and Leeds. All services are diverted via Lincoln. Journey times are extended by up to an hour and a half.

Trains to / from Harrogate will start /terminate at Leeds. There will be no trains to / from Leeds on Sunday morning.

Other services will start and terminate at Doncaster. Rail replacement coach services will be provided between Grantham, Newark and Retford.

The replacement buses are not yet showing in Journey Planners, please check nearer to date of travel.
