What is happening in London? From reading FR24

All London City Airport Arrivals are reported cancelled, with only one flight out still planned

A big majority of BA flights from Heathrow are cancelled, a few aircraft are currently on hold around Orpington

BA's whole Domestic/European network seems to have collapsed

You are aware what the weather’s been like?

I was doubting that that was the cause, but was thinking it was something else. After reading BA's brief, that makes a lot of sense

To comply with air traffic restrictions imposed due to adverse winter weather conditions caused by Storm Bert, we've had to reduce our schedules at London Heathrow and London City Airport, today, Sunday 24 November.

The number of flights that can take off and land has been reduced throughout today, so we've adjusted our schedules accordingly to comply with the restrictions. We're taking steps to ensure as many customers as possible are able to travel as planned and are rebooking customers onto alternative flights, providing refreshment vouchers and hotel accommodation where needed.

Still, there has to be some silver lining. There's been no Stansted Express service at all for around nine hours now, so anyone who's missed their flight because of that can claim a full refund if the flight was later cancelled

An easyJet flight from Lisbon to London (not sure which airport) landed at Cardiff about 30 minutes ago. I noticed it fly over low in the wrong direction when I was out with the dog. We are under the flight path for Bristol and are used to seeing them come in to land in the opposite direction.

Surprisingly given it’s location, Bristol seems to be operating normally so why they didn’t divert it there where they have a base and ground handling area instead of Cardiff where they don’t is strange.

Bit windy wasn't it? I was watching a video of some of the go-arounds at Gatwick on Sunday...

Lets just say i was glad to be watching it at home and not experiencing that fun on board

Mostly Glasgow-ish. Mostly.
Lot of fingers are often correctly pointed at BA for various things but this was a bad day for anyone to fly. Shame they've been getting blame here for stuff completely beyond their control.

Undoubtedly a great weekend for Big Jet TV fans!
