Tomorrow I intend to take HS1 from St Pancras, break my journey at Ashford Intl (where someone will give me a lift to the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch railway and back), then head to do the Chatham mainline back to London, by way of Dover Priory. I am semi flexible about the outward journey but generally aiming for the one with a 1318 arrival at Ashford (because we need to get the 1405 service from New Romney) and the rest as the cards lie but probably leaving Ashford anywhere between 5 and 7.

The obvious easy way to do this is get a super off peak routed plus HS1 to Dover Priory. Or in the unlikely event I get up early and am in London before around 11 then get the "simple" super off peak. Am I missing anything more cunning? The "loop" nature of this makes finding splits more difficult. No relevant railcards and for the amount I'm in the south east at the moment it's probably not worth my while getting a network one although I'll check my clubcard balance and I see one is available for £20 atm through MSE...

No worthwhile splits as far as I'm aware. Two Advance singles might work out cheaper, if they're available on the trains you want to take? Otherwise a return to Dover will likely be cheapest.
