What routes do LM Class 153 single car units operate by themselves on apart from Coventry to Nuneaton, Bedford to Blechley and couples onto any 150 or 170 services?.

I know that they used to operate on the Stourbridge branch line.

They still appear from time to time on the Stourbridge shuttle when the 139s fail.

I dont what other services they operate either alone or with other units.

I believe there is still a daily attached diagram coupled to a 3-car Class 150 running on the Snow Hill Suburban lines and also a number booked to couple to Class 170/5 units for Birmingham - Walsall - Rugeley services as well as one on the Birmingham - Worcester - Hereford route also with a Class 170/5.

Thank you are they coupled to the 150 and 170?, I might as well go on one from Nuneaton to Coventry

I have only seen a 153 on its own working Coventry to Nuneaton

There is quite often a 153 "bolted" to a 170 on the Rugeley run but I don't know which ones

By the name, I'm guessing you quite like them... :P

There is also a single 153 used on one of the Bletchley - Bedford diagrams (the other is usually covered by a 2 car 150 unit).

I have seen a pair of 153s working the Nuneaton - Coventry shuttle at a weekend and also seen them used on services through Snow Hill a couple of times, coupled to a 3 car 150 unit.

There was a single 153 on the 21:17 New Street to Rugeley service on Wednesday night which surprised me; as has been mentioned above, I've only previousy seen the 153s paired with the two car 170/5s on this route.

Well if you have the choice of running the service with a 153 or cancelling it, that's your choice. But they aren't diagrammed by LM to work on their own.

That's what surprised me, I had a feeling there weren't any diagrams for single class 153s on that route. That particular service is lightly loaded so a single 153 was perfectly suitable over cancelling the service, just thought I'd mention this slightly peculiar working.
