I am planning a trip to Sheffield from London am flexible on dates, but end of May / some time in June, depending on prices.
I seem to remember megatrain offering decent prices, but it keeps giving me coach options.
What are the best way to get cheap fares for this trip, or any splits?
I don't have any railcards.

Many thanks.

Megatrain was a thing when Stagecoach had the EMT franchise.

The cheapest EMR advances go for £20ish (the very cheapest is £17.40); poking around on Trainsplit, there's plenty of dates in the next couple months (EMR is currently selling weekday advances out to 28 July and weekends out to 2 July) with prices around there.

I'd actually go by coach Nat Express/ Megabus/Flixbus all offer Sheffield for around £10ish. If you can use the outer London pick ups (Golders Green/Finchley Rd) journey time is around 3 hours.
