Northern trains have or are going to procure a fleet of 450 new units- but Northern has at present around 353 units
The procurement should surely mean 450 new carriages(450 divided by 2 is 225) so would mean 225 2 coach units to replace around the same number of sprinters and 323/333 etc but not including caf units
There are around as follows…
16 333 units
17 323 units
55 156 units
83 150 units
7 155 units
53 158 units
16 170 units
Total 247 units
If 170s are kept its 231 units
If 333s are kept its 231 units
Bear in mind this is mixture of 2/3/4 carriage units
