I am needing to park in Crewe tomorrow for a day and a half.

Where is the best place to park as the station itself seems very expensive?

Pedley Street Euro Car Parks seems ok but as Euro Car Parks only shows the price for up to 24 hours, does that mean I can’t park there for longer?

your risk appetite might be different (and of course might depend on luggage etc), but I'd always park discreetly in one of the unrestricted parking zone streets near the football stadium

the only resident permit zones in Crewe are nowhere near the station: https://www.cheshireeast.gov.uk/car-parks-and-parking/parking-permits/residents-street-permits.aspx

Given the prevalence of on-street parking (on e.g. https://maps.app.goo.gl/4j8ns6r1HngxVg197) I'd struggle to believe anyone would notice an extra car there for 24 hours, and you're not overlapping with a football game when there might be extra restrictions
I was thinking it was one of those with a sign with an attached limit.

Is there some sort of fine or will it be fine as long as it’s not in anyone’s way?

hmm, where do you see a sign?

I go to Crewe less frequently than I used to, but my standard approach in all towns I visit where I need to park for a few days is to suss out unrestricted residential parking, and I've never had an issue. As long as you don't look out of place I don't think anyone will care.

I have never been there before

I just looked up “unrestricted residential permit” and signs came up

Ok so there isn’t a time limit?
Maybe I should have been more explicit in my reply :)

The link in post #4 shows that the only on-street resident permit zones in Crewe are on 4 roads:

Hungerford Road area - zone R

Status: live

  • Fernbank Close - all properties
  • Hungerford Road - even numbers 310 to 374, odd numbers 299 to 369
  • Hungerford Terrace - all properties
  • Lyncroft Close - all properties

if we use Google Maps to look at these streets: https://maps.app.goo.gl/cC8ji4K3gQ3W2ht77 we can see the zone centres around a small set of cul-de-sacs (the reasons for this are unclear). If we then use street view to look at that area, we can see what resident permit zone signs look like: https://maps.app.goo.gl/6s1g2NScaRjZFH5AA

Given all of the above, I would personally think it's safe to leave my car in one of the residential streets near the station for a day or two, but I would always get there early enough to double check local signs etc

Ok I won’t be fined so it should be worth a look
