The platforms at East Croydon are being relaid with concrete paving slabs which abut the nosing stones. There are no tactile slabs or strips installed, and I assume the slabs are permanent. How does this stack up with the general provision of tactile surfaces at British station platforms - has it now been decided not to install tactile strips?

There is a system which uses an epoxy adhesive to mount thin tactile surfaces onto existing paving slabs - I think LU have used it here and there.

That's certainly true, but I would have expected proper slabs to have been incorporated into new surfaces such as this, to achieve an appropriate longevity. The adhesive used by LU has proved less than totally reliable over time.

The surface mounted tactile paving isn't bad - If it does fail over time it's easier to repair than tactile pavers which become loose, wobble and crack.
