Hi

I am trying to order tickets online by National Express East Anglia website but need help.

I have a party of 7.

Leaving on a Saturday.

Done 1 group save of 3 and 1 group save of 4.

I am departing from St Margarets Hertfordshire to Liverpool Street London and want to tube to Earls Court.

So would a Super Off-Peak Travelcard cover this journey? and why online do they require a depart and return time?

I would be glad of this help as I don't to be held by times.

You need to select departure times to ensure that you know when you are booked to travel and only really applies on weekdays. The booking engine makes you select services so you cannot claim (on a weekday) that you were not informed that a Super Off Peak ticket couldn't be used during peak times. It's just a way for online retailers to cover their backs.

The times you select will appear in your confirmation e-mail and is there for your information.

Super Off-peak Day Travelcard is valid at any time on Saturdays, however is not valid with GroupSave. It costs £12.50, so £87.50 for 7 people.

Off-peak Day Travelcard is valid at any time on Saturdays, and you can go GroupSave with it. It would cost £27.30 for the group of 3 and £27.60 for the group of 4 (don't ask!) so would be a total of £54.90 for all 7.

Note that for both tickets you have to return same day.

Hi

I manage to get 7 super off-peak tickets for £49.75 with groupsave.

I need to know does Super Off-Peak Travelcard allow me to travel from London Liverpool Street to Earls Court by Tube.

Yes it is valid to Earls Court on LU. Where did you get the price from, as that is the price for a Super Off-peak Day Travelcard for 7 people which is not valid with GroupSave? Is this from the journey planner on the NXEA website; if so what destination did you put in?

Obviously if the website did this then you can't argue with it and it will sell you the ticket, and I note the NXEA website simply says GroupSave is valid with Travelcards, but not mentioning which type!

Hi

I put it St Margarets Hertfordshire for the Start and London Liverpool Street for the End. 7 adults. 1 groupsave 3 and 1 group 4. Then it gives me all the times and price list for all tickets available. Then it came up with super off-peak travelcard for £49.75. Only thing I was concerned about was that it asked times - and as I said earlier I don't want to be held by times and nothing comes up if it allows you travel by tube on that ticket. But from the information I have recieved it looks like I can travel anytime (not held by times ) and I am able to tube to Earls Court on that ticket so I am one happy bunny! PS. Forgot to say this is on the nationalexpress website.

I've managed to get that now. I'm not sure where you'd stand on using it as you enter it under 'other discounts' which may expect you have some understanding on the terms and conditions, although I am most confused by them.

SWT state that they may be used on "Off-Peak Day and Super Off-Peak Day Travelcards," NXEA website says that it is valid on "Travelcards" and the GroupSave website states that it is only valid on "Off-Peak Day Travelcards." The Manual for railway staff also says that it's only valid on "ODT" ticket types which are Off-Peak Day Travelcards.

I'd advise you buy it online though, as some staff in booking offices may refuse to issue these tickets because they think they are not valid.

So, if I purchase a Travelcard Off Peak for £54.90 will I be in the right with all the terms and condition on groupsave?? etc. also can you confirm I still will be able to travel on the tube on that ticket? also do I have any time issues?

Any ticket with the word "Travelcard" in it is valid for unlimited travel on the tube, buses, trams, DLR and National Rail services within the applicable zones. For Travelcards bought with an orgin station outside the Zones they are always all Zones tickets so are most certainly valid to Earls Court (and beyond!!).
