Can any members remember a railway drama programme from around 1982 I am guessing.
It was set around 1960 when the first diesels were taking over from steam.
I think some of the shots were of the keighley & Worth valley, especially when some spotters were expecting a grimy steam engine to take them on their travels but a brightly lit DMU appeared. (Can you remember Mr Softee Ice cream vans?)
It was also set in a steam loco shed which I assume was Carnforth.
Anyway the programme was about train spotters and what we used to get up to (boys will be boys). At the loco shed a boy got caught shed bashing by a pervy policeman who gave the boy 2 alternatives.
Either the policeman would tell the spotters parents what a bad boy he had been, or he could go into the office with the policeman and........well?
