Hi all,

I'm planning a trip to the area around Penzance and St. Ives.

I'm thinking about spending some time in Penzance, Newlyn, Mousehole, St. Ives and possibly Carbis Bay.

Any recommendations/suggestions for the area gratefully appriciated.

Kind regards.

I liked the Minack Theatre, Lanyon Quoit and Men-a-Tol (Stone Age structures), and Goonhilly Satellite Dish place when I visited in 2005.

Land's End and Lizard Point didn't have much, but most westerly and southerly point of mainland England, so are a must see.

There was a brilliant tin mining museum at Cambourne up the road, was my favourite place in the county I visited.

Until 2 September, there were a couple of open top bus tours run by First Bus you coupd have sampled - unless you're thinking about next year? (Services resume in May)

I would add St Michaels Mount to the above. Some good walking on the SW Coastal Path - the section from Lands End to Sennen Cove is not very strenuous but has some wonderful coastal scenery.
