Hi,
Impressions from the Benešov u Prahy steam and diesel gathering this weekend, mainly on the branch line Čerčany - Zruč nad Sázavou along Sázava river with engines from the Austro-Hungarian monarchy: kkStB 310.23 (StEG #3791 / built in 1911) from Heizhaus Strasshof (1. öSEK) and ČSD 354.7152 (ex kkStB 429.1996, BMMF #657 / built in 1916).
The boiler "ticket" of 310.23 expires this year. Due to the poor state of Austrian heritage railways, it is unsure whether or when we will experience it in mainline action again.
Also featuring 475.111 at the Tábor turntable, ÖBB "Blauer Blitz" 5145.11 DMU (which had once reached Prague as classic "Vindobona" express), Henschel-GM 2050.04, MÁV NOHAB-GM M61.010, ČSD T478.2006 and regular ČD diesel trains.
As I had brought back Covid from the summer holiday, I treaded lightly and only chose a few select moments. Of course everything reached only by train and on foot.
