Hi all, looking for some trooublw shooting re Sim Sig. Can't get the new games to load (demo only) and I've bought them/bought licence. It is saying I don't own a license! I'm a bit dumb on this, but thought it should work once brought. Any tips pease? Thanks in advance.

Have you logged in with your account details on the first page that loads when opening the program? You should get some green text saying something like “logged in ok” then click on “check for updates”.

Would recommend posting on the SimSig forums. They're normally very helpful with anything like this and the devs there will have visibility into whether your licenses have been allocated correctly.

Thanks again. I followed Lewlew and I'm registered/licenced etc. Staffordshire seems difficult. I'll plug away at it! Cheers all.

I came across SimSig a few years ago and was fascinated. I watched a few YouTube videos and it seemed pretty complicated, but interesting nonetheless. For some reason I forgot all about it, so might sign up now and give it a try.

Sitting on a computer and driving an imaginary train doesn't really appeal to me, but SimSig certainly does

The other night I decided to splash out (a tenner - last of the big spenders) and bought a new route, so now I have Cowlairs. It looked fairly straightforward at first, but I soon found myself in a rather harassed state when the morning peak kicked in!

The bi-directional signalling in and out of Queen Street can be quite tricky, and I've found that I'm having to stick to one line in and one line out in order to maintain any sanity, although this isn't obviously how it was designed. It doesn't help that platforming appears to be a bit random and less predictable than on other sims I've played, but I'll probably get used to this over time.

Overall, I'd say it's challenging, but quite enjoyable and I'll probably get a few more hours in over the weekend.

Some of the sim sig sims are very challenging for single player mode anyway, they've just released Crewe sim & that is one of the most challenging sims for single player they have, first time i've been quite intimidated by a simsig sim, & that's looking at the sim with no trains on it.

I do love playing Wolverhampton sim, short enough area that can fit on one screen without any need for scrolling, & busy enough with trains, to keep things interesting
