Version 2 now online, but no alert from RST of course. https://www.raildeliverygroup.com/images/RST/RST_Restrictions_Summer_2024_v2.pdf has a section "Updates to this document" which says
These restrictions remain in force as outlined in this document until a subsequent version is published on the Rail Staff Travel website.
The staff travel restrictions may be updated as the national or local travel situation evolves or timetables change.
Holders of Rail Staff Travel facilities must ensure they check for the latest version of these Staff Travel restrictions before attempting any journey using their facilities
which is most unhelpful. I can't spot anything different from V1 on the TOC's I am likely to use, I wonder what they might be?

Anyway there is a massive benefit over summer 2023's restrictions, which is that there seem to be no blanket restrictions on XC trains any more - which I can hardly believe - and I also can't understand how I missed them dropping away last winter either (now that i have checked them!)

XC had even gone to the trouble of printing a timetable with the restricted trains shown in different colours - which I thought I had got saved, but of course can't find now... I'm glad that it is in the past!

Looks like Seatfrog is now available on Greater Anglia and thus a section confirming Seatfrog upgrades are allowed on GA has been added. (Good job I had a v1 copy on my phone!)

Thanks for that. You would think that if RSTL can post an updated version they could a) alert their email mailing list recipients and b) also add a brief note in the document to say what had changed - even if it was just "Look at GA details!"

... and again! Version 3, dated 6th August. No notification at all, and they can't even be ***ed to put a in paragraph saying which company's restrictions have been updated.
I have had email correspondance with them and they just shrug their sholders and repeat the line "Holders of Rail Staff Travel facilities must ensure they check for the latest version of these Staff Travel restrictions before attempting any journey using their facilities."
Totally impractcal.

Agreed, how hard can it be to highlight any changes between different versions, rather than expecting staff to read the entire document again in case there train has become restricted.
