TFL refund not recieving money even though refund has been approved

I had incomplete journeys on Saturday that cost me £14 and just now got my refund approved.

The money should have been transferred back to my debt card in 2 lots of £5 as I had 2 incomplete journeys but it is showing that I have received £0 from tfl as a refund even though they have approved £5 for both of my refunds

Does it take time for the money to come through or have I been improperly refunded.

It takes time. At best, it will be overnight but refunds (from any business) generally take a touch longer than payments. I think what you are seeing relates to the bank details being confirmed. Remember that when you travel using contactless the payments are not instant but happen overnight as well.
