A Thameslink Off Peak Day Return from Brighton to Redhill is £17.50

A Thameslink Super Off Peak Day Return from Brighton to East Croydon is only £15.50.

Am I allowed to travel from Brighton to Redhill on the East Croydon Super Off Peak ticket?

I'm aware that ending a journey early is perfectly fine usually, but wanted to check because it seems there are no super off peak fares available to/from Redhill at all, so I wondered if that meant exiting/entering the station on a super off peak ticket would be problematic.

Thanks in advance for any comments.

It is marginally cheaper to buy a Redhill to Gatwick Airport off-peak day return (£5.10) and a 'Thameslink only' super off peak day return from Gatwick Airport to Brighton (£9.00). Again weekend only, but a bit more flexibility to use GWR trains between Redhill and Gatwick.

For clarity, the £17.50 fare from Brighton to Redhill is not a "Thameslink" fare - it's routed ".", in other words Any Permitted, so it is valid on all operators and brands.

The £15.50 fare from Brighton to East Croydon has no break of journey restrictions, so you are perfectly free to use this to break your journey in Redhill and - optionally - end your journey there.

It is also available on weekdays after 0930, not just at the weekend.
