I have sad news. Many of us will have passed through the barriers at Liverpool South Parkway and encountered a Bengal cat, close to or sat on, the barriers (who was known as Paul Newman). The Liverpool Echo carries a story that Paul has died. He lived nearby, but made South Parkway his second home. Usually to be found near the staffed barriers, but wandered around checking up on things as cats do. The Liverpool Echo carried an item about his death.

He was undoubtedly a well known feature of the station and will be missed by many.

Yes, he was always about and walked around like he owned the station too - I suppose he did! He will be missed that is for sure. :frown:

My mate and I always go for coffee at the Costa at LPY on a Sunday afternoon.
Last week he was jumping up on the tables ans was summerally removed by one of the staff.
Last year I had the pleasure of him jumping up and settling down on my knees.

RIP Paul - you will be missed.

He was indeed named after the actor.

A nice little character pottering around the place. He will be missed.

I learned of this on the Huddersfield station's Felix and Bolt's facebook page! I made a thread somewhere about station pets, always nice to read that there are plenty well-loved ones out there! Never met Pussy Paul though - and I'll be going through Parkway next month...a month too late :(
