Train driver assessments

Been invited to sit the drivers assessment for southern, but a friend warns me that if i fail it twice i can never re-apply, does this count for all rail companies, or if i failed it twice at southern would i be able to apply at lorol?

Im afraid the current rule is two strikes and your out...so even if you fail with company A (twice) you wont be able to apply with company B.
