If you’ve always liked the idea of owning your own station, a chance has arisen at Broughty Ferry when the station (Closed finally in 1967) is up for sale at £150,000 with cream views over the Tay. It is only a 1 bad property and the WC is in a brick shed outside. You’ll find the details at Lindsay’s Estate Agency.

Had this been available when I was an undergraduate at the University of Dundee, and had I been able to afford the price tag, I would have snapped it up.

incidentally, it’s other claim to fame is that it diagonally opposite actor Brian Cox’s glass extension in the BBC Scotland comedy ‘Bob Servant - Independent’. it is seen in a couple of external shots.

Ah, "cream views over the (Silv'ry) Tay" - most McGonagall-like description. I would buy it but would be put off not by the brick privvy but by the fact it is "only a 1 bad property."

I'll get me coat...
