Hello,
I have been wondering this for a few days and was hoping one of you guys know what the cheapest qualifying journey would be for club avanti?
A journey has to be over 75 miles, on an avanti train, booked on the avanti website, and not a super off-peak ticket.

The best I have so far is Wolverhampton (WVH) to Milton Keynes Central (MKC) which is £5.70 as an Advance Single (was mentioned before on this forum as a 75-mile trip and I double checked using railmiles).
This technically means you can get an advance standard premium return for £51.30.

Is there anything cheaper?

Not sure how often that £5.70 fare is available, but the cheapest one I've found is Crewe to Carlisle, £9.00 each way, or £5.90 with a railcard.
You can usually find this fare on Saturdays on the 07:54 from Crewe to Carlisle, coming back on the 18:46 or 19:49 from Carlisle to Crewe.

Edit: just did a quick check and yeah, that Wolverhampton - Milton Keynes ticket is available throughout the middle of the day, some of them are even £5! However as someone living near Crewe, the Crewe-Carlisle ticket is much more useful for me for a day trip.

That is cheap, and I've just had a look for a month hence and its similar from Penrith to Crewe and back (£11.90 each way); and £8.50 the other way on that 0754 train without railcard. Still £8.50 only going to Oxenholme, and Crewe->Lancaster is less than 75 miles.

Maybe I should have a day trip to Crewe sometime; I've never actually been to it, only through it! Usually £24ish is only enough for a day trip to Preston (highly recommend Level at the back of the guildhall for pinball).

Its looking like the OP may well have found the cheapest already.

ooo you are correct. found a £5 ticket for that route.
£45 for an advance standard premium return and an additional £60 for the first class.
