The flying Scotsman is visiting Inverness on Saturday the 7th of October and I was wondering if anybody new when timings will be released or if anyone already knows

A recent trip to East Anglia was deliberately not shown anywhere inc RTT until the latest possible moment.

It'll be deliberately kept under wraps as much as possible until the last moment due to the frequent trespass and associated issues its appearance often brings.

For future reference (though see the post above) I believe it's usually 24 hours, and there's a special notice on RTT along the lines of "This train is expected to be very popular with many people going to see it. Please be considerate and do not trespass." Or something like that!

That's from (if I recall correctly) the July issue of Steam Railway (my friend's brother has a subscription so I read his copy: I don't have one to hand).

Well the Highland Main Line is closed at the moment due to the weather now, I can't see her getting down to Edinburgh in time for her Fife tour tomorrow

60103's movements are usually either kept secret until the last possible moment, and/or planned for times when few incidents are expected (when it went to the Bluebell Railway recently it arrived at 0345 or so!).
