Hello all,

I was just looking up dates to see if there was any VSOE Lunch trips due soon (to watch, not book on) and I googled VSOE for the website but on there I couldn't find any lunch trip's, as I couldn't really find any day/evening trip sections, just comes up about holidays to outside the UK. This is the site I was on:

http://www.belmond.com/venice-simplon-orient-express/

Are these trips organised by the above company or does someone else actually do it? I tried googling 'VSOE Luncheon trips' but this either comes up with video's of steamers doing the trips, or links to UKSteam.info or other railtour date gen. This is fine if you want to see what steam loco is out, but it wouldn't show any 67 hauled ones. Even so if you wanted to book it, just having the loco gen isn't much use!

Just wondered if that's maybe not the site where these dates and bookings would be, as I'm curious now!

James.

Can't help with your immediate question, but it ran today, 11.15 Victoria to Folkestone West and 17.21 return. Just happened to see it at Victoria this morning, and it got in our way at Sevenoaks on the return. Class 67 each end but didn't pay attention to which ones. Wonder what they do in Folkestone for a few hours?

Thanks for that :) Didn't realise the Northern Belle was under the same group.

I just went back on to the European VSOE site I found to see if there was any links. I found that clicking on the 'Belmond' text (in light grey) then going to 'Iconic Trains' gives you the links to the British stuff. I didn't click on that to begin with as I thought it would be a page about the company, not knowing that they also do the Northern Belle and Lunch trips.

I must admit if I was a non-enthusiast trying to find it, I don't think I'd find it that quickly!
