Wimbledon to Weybridge then back to Waterloo

Hello,

Travelling from Wimbledon (where I'm staying) to Weybridge tomorrow, but need a return to Waterloo in the afternoon.

If I buy a return from Waterloo to Weybridge (via Wimbledon) online, can I start my outbound journey from Wimbledon (I'll pick my ticket up today)? Or would that be invalid?

Yes although you could save a few pennies by just getting WIM-WYB and using oyster/contactless for WIM-WAT (there are oyster readers on some platforms, but then you can't take fast trains that skip Wimbledon)
