A Travelcard to ZONES 1-6 includes unlimited travel in the appropriate London zones.
There are more expensive “anytime” and cheaper “evening out” versions.

The ticket to LONDON TERMINALS is cheaper but does not include any other travel.

so the zone 1-2 is just single travel in zone1-2 and cannot be used for multiple travels between 1-2... ?
if i need multiple travels between 1-2 i need to buy 1-6 travel card : ?

thanks

The other approach is to buy the ticket to London Terminals and use Oyster or contactless within Zone 1/2.

Correct - one journey each way.

Depending how many other journeys you need to take, the suggestion by MarlowDonkey may be cheaper.

oh ok.. and how about avoid waterloo and reach kings cross after 10..
like woking to clapham -> vauxhall -> kings cross after 10 ?
It doesn't make a difference where you board or leave the train, it's not valid on trains that arrive at London Terminals (e.g. Waterloo) before 10am.

edit: vauxhall is london terminal
No the Woking to Clapham Junction off-peak day return ticket has the same restriction: not valid on trains timed to arrive London Terminals before 10:00.

is there any route where i can do this via off peak travelcard please ?

It would be extremely tight and unlikely to be doable reliably (if it's a job or other commitment you're attending).

The quickest route is probably to Farringdon using the Northern line from Waterloo to Tottenham Court Road, and then the Elizabeth line. The interchange is decent at both Waterloo and Tottenham Court Road. Google Maps reckons it takes 18 mins - 4 mins on the Northern line and 3 mins on the Elizabeth line, plus walking time at each station.

Alternatively you could take bus routes 59, 243 or 341, but the journey time would obviously be variable due to traffic.

If you definitely have to be there by 10:20 on the dot, the cheapest option would probably involve a combination of tickets (i.e. 'split tickets', as suggested by the forum's website).

Maybe the £38.20 Anytime Day Travelcard from Woking is the most suitable / flexible for meeting the OPs travel requirements?

For an Anytime ticket, the additional cost of a Day Travelcard as opposed to a return to London Terminals well exceeds the daily PAYG cap for Zones 1-2 (which is £8.50). So in this case I would suggest a return ticket to London Terminals then use Contactless for travel within Zones 1 and 2.

And remember a ticket to London terminals from Woking will be valid as far as City Thameslink (using South Eastern from Waterloo East to London Bridge & Thameslink to City Thameslink) which potentially could save you having to use the underground with a short walk from City Thameslink to Farringdon
