yeah, its end of may! it would have been end of april, but locals were wanting it extended. the new road bridge is now open in Workington, and the DRS shuttle trains aren't used as much anymore, neither are the Northern Rail services. they are busier at peak times, with school kids travelling between Workington and Maryport using them, with them being free!
as a user of the train services to and from Workington on a very regular basis, the end of the free train travel between Workington and Maryport will be rather welcome by regular commuters travelling further on Northern Rail units, due to the increase in anti-social behaviour from users of the free trains!

Excellent, that's later on in May than I expected. Now to look for some cheap advance tickets...
