IS there a website or piece of software that can be used to work out how far I have travelled on a particular journey?

I know that I could look at the distance between 2 places on Googlemaps or something but that won't give me the miles covered by the train I was on.

Thanks

Realtime Trains detailed view for any train shows m+c for each location in the left column.

It's a pity someone can't make something as nice as Flight Diary (though I know calculating Great Circle distances is easier then rail mileages)

Also Something that gives a decimal option would be nice rather then trying to convert chains!

It is indeed.
There must be a relatively easy way to work out the distances - maybe I'll go into my local station and ask if they have a list of distances to/from the local stations... see what they say

Great, now it just needs a decimal option to make sums easier (hurry up Metrication)

Took me a while how to get mileage. The way I did it I used the "simple" search and selected the train from the result. Then I found a small word "detailed" and, hey presto, when I pushed that mileages. I wonder why it doesn't show mileage if you actually use the detailed search in the first place?

As far as I can tell, there is nothing on the web that can show me the distance between nominated railway stations. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
