I'm new to the forum - hello everybody.

I've had my DMI this week and I noticed signatures in the signing in book from others who had already been for an interview. There was no-one waiting when I came out. I was told that interviews are being conducted all week so wouldn't hear anything for a week or two.

My interview lasted for about 40 minutes and wasn't horrendous although I didn't leave feeling that I had done particularly well.

Good luck to those yet to have theirs.

Thanks both.

I've had much better interviews in the past and been up unsuccessful so not really holding much hope after this one.

How long was your interview, mine seek to go really quickly which I'm thinking isn't a good sign

Mine was about 20 minutes.

I think it basically lasts as long as it takes you to explain your answers, I think some are better short but also I think some of the questions needed a longer and more in depth answers than what I gave so I think that will be my down fall more so than how long the interview was.

I was in for about 50 mins, thought it went well but right at the end the young lady said, "if you want feedback for your interview contact HR". Then as I walked back to my car I was thinking that that's what they normally say when you've been unsuccessful!! I hope that's not what it meant but it has put the seed of doubt in my mind. Time will tell. WAITING WAITING WAITING, the only guaranteed thing when applying for jobs in the rail industry!!
Good luck fellas and keep in touch if and when you receive any news.

Welcome. I honestly think they give nothing away with regards to how you are doing in the interview. The answers we give will be scored against certain criteria and a score allocated. Then obviously how you conducted yourself and communicated etc will be addressed too obviously. Time will tell. Good luck.

Yeah I understand, mind goes into overdrive about what you should and shouldn't of said haha. Oh well it's done. Did they tell you how long it will take before letting you know if you passed

They said it wouldn't be to long but if not heard by end of Feb to get in contact.
They said within two weeks hopefully. The 3rd stage (OPC Psychometric Stage 2) if required, they said on job advert would be WC 15th Feb. So I'm pretty sure you would of heard before end February.

Yes, I think you're right. Don't worry about the feedback thing. The previous interviewee probably asked about feedback (I did) which would remind her to mention it to you.

At least I can stop checking my e-mails every 5 minutes until Monday.

I did stage 1 on a Tuesday then got the e-mail the following Monday, hopefully it will be the same. The waiting is killing me.

I have a feeling it will be a longer wait but I hope I'm wrong.

I did mine on the Monday and got my email on the Friday. However, the assessments only ran Monday to Wednesday. I think that we will hear back by the end of next week.

Hi everyone, had my DMI last Monday got an email at 12.30 today to say I had been successful and will be emailed with details of when the 3rd and final stage is taking place. Thought I'd share so you guys can have a look too.
