Will just the relevant track's OLE be isolated or do all tracks have to be isolated at the same time?

Sounds suicidal to me.
Or it's nearing the end of the half-term holiday and the kids are getting bored. A colleague has previously opined to me that it can be "bandit country" around that neck of the woods and I vaguely recall that similar has been reported in the area in previous years (when the overheads were switched off, mind!). Shouldn't really speculate though, apologies.

Usually an emergency isolation of a larger section then as things progress local switch outs to shorten the sections. However all lines through the affected area will remain blocked as the individual on the gantry can move.

Sounds suicidal to me.

This is a very heartless comment about that subject, especially considering that noone knows enough information to make an evaluation.

Jumping to conclusions and throwing out an unfounded opinion about such a sensitive topic is severely lacking class.

Just saying. What is someone doing up a gantry anyway (apart from maintainence?)

Sorry if my comment appears to be rude, but what if that was the truth? Is it heartless stating facts? The world we've come to be...

Also, sorry if you misquoted me, but saying 'it's suicidal', and saying 'it sounds suicidal' are different terms, so...

It was a tiny bit blunt - but to be honest it is what I was thinking could be a strong possibility. Having spent a considerable amount of my time dealing with the fallout from a rising number of similar incidents over the last couple of weeks (including trying to keep passengers moving after someone jumped on an electrified line in front of my colleagues about 2 days ago), I don't consider it to be particularly unlikely to say the very least. It's not to say it isn't a bad situation for the person concerned and response staff to be in.

Another fatality between Wigan and Preston this evening (causing delays up of to 2 hours), following yesterday morning's at Atherstone (which caused consequential delays to VTWC services over the entire Friday).

No doubt very frustrating for VTWC in trying to get their PPM above 90%.

Are not matters such as this taken into account in the compilation of such statistics?
