Just noticed that 66997/998/999 are showing as being at Hull Docks - are these more European sheds for Longport to conduct work on does anyone know?
Yes, going to GBRf
May just be the previous ones that came over for maintenance that haven’t been removed from the system.Just noticed that 66997/998/999 are showing as being at Hull Docks - are these more European sheds for Longport to conduct work on does anyone know?
There are images on Facebook of 66794 on a road trailer being offloaded from a ship at Immingham. It's ex. HHPI 29005 (1266 029).
So what's 66793 ex- if 66794 is ex-29005?
Thank you. Do we know what the other three are?66793 was 29004
66794 was 29005
Have we ever had #66666?Looks like GBRf has run out of 667xx numbers...wonder what the next lot will be (assuming there is going to be more?)

Both built/delivered 2003.
Think the sub class 66/8 still doesn't exist so they could use that. I know freightliner have a pool of 66/9s.Looks like GBRf has run out of 667xx numbers...wonder what the next lot will be (assuming there is going to be more?)

When looking at what 66xxx numbers are available, you also need to look at Class 350 and 450 vehicle numbers as some of these are numbered 66xxx. Quite a lot of the 668xx numbers are taken in this way - whoever allocated them in the RSL clearly didn’t understand what they were doing. It still does, as Colas Rail, and the former Advenza Rail fleet were 66/8s.
Though somewhat ironically, in the big 66 Merry-go-Round, they are now GBRF 66/7s. The current Colas fleet being ex Freightliner 66/5s.
663xx is most sensible as they are virtually the same spec as the imports? When looking at what 66xxx numbers are available, you also need to look at Class 350 and 450 vehicle numbers as some of these are numbered 66xxx. Depends when the imports were built I guess!663xx is most sensible as they are virtually the same spec as the imports?
Pretty much the same vintage and same engine specDepends when the imports were built I guess!
Looks like this ran as 1200 Immingham to Longport, terminated early at Derby for reasons unknown.Correct, it is listed on RTT as a 10.30 am departure 66797
There are images on Facebook of the loco on a trailer awaiting loading onto the ferry

It seems that 0M66 became 1512 Derby to Bescot Up Engineers Sidings
** It's reported that 66758 actually ran light from Immingham leaving 797 there**
Update on 21st January
66797 was hauled from Immingham to Doncaster Roberts Road yesterday

There will be quite a bit of work to do at Longport before it goes elsewhere, particularly fitting U.K. spec kit (headlights, AWS/TPWS, etc).Looks like it's sitting on some new Wheelsets / overhauled bogies, so no-doubt it'll be heading to Eastleigh fairly soon.
