Are we looking for County teams, but maybe with a name suffixed - e.g. 'Yorkshire Terriers', or for completely random team names?

I have to freely admit I am not a particular cricket fan although for some strange reason I look out for Hampshire's scores. Sure I read something about Southern ??? playing at the Rosebowl in Southampton, but can't remember the ??? !!!
You are so close I am going to give you it, Its the Southern Brave at the Ageas Bowl (formerly Rose Bowl).

Again you are close so I will give you it, its Northern Superchargers played at Headingley. You are correct with Lords. Sorry there are no Southern Softies.

There’s a Welsh team in Cardiff. Welsh Dragons or Welsh Fire I think??

I think there are two London teams, Lord’s and the oval, but no idea what they’re called.

Presumably there’s a Birmingham team, a Manchester team and a Nottingham team?

Apart from being utterly unnecessary from a sporting point of view, it’s also yet another shameless move designed to concentrate a bigger share of revenues in the hands of the test match ground counties.

Oh, and I’m pretty sure it’s scheduled at the same time as the county 50 over competition, so deprives the counties of some of their better players

All in all, it’s horrible

Let me help those of you who have not heard of "The Hundred" before :

It is a cricket tournament comprising of 100 balls per side involving 8 mens and womens teams across England and Wales, it was due to begin last year but didnt because of co-vid. It is being run by the ECB (England and Wales cricket board).

The team names are the same for both men and women.

Currently 2 team names and venues have been correctly guessed, those being the Northern Superchargers and Southern Brave being played
at Headingley and Ageas Bowl respectively.

You are correct with Welsh Fire and both Lords and the Oval are correct also.

You are on the money with your suggestions for other parts of England as well, just need the team names now.

I can only think of one, that's the Manchester Originals.
I've looked at the fixtures as some games are going to be on TV.
Cant remember the other names.
There's Oval something and Birmingham something I think.

You are correct with Manchester Originals and your thinking is fine with Oval & Birmingham, just need the names.

You are correct with Trent but not Tourists, think of something more explosive!
Trent Dynamite? ;)
Thought of two more from the Manchester fixtures, Birmingham Phoenix, Oval Invincibles. Not sure, but I think Welsh Fire (or Red) is one.
