Bus 22 is used by the training fleet also.Except 170 is already removed from service and is now part of the training fleet.
I think the most recent withdrawals from the fleet are 901-909 excluding 905/906
I've also seen bus 23 (BT14 DKO) on training duties on multiple occasions since March.Bus 22 is used by the training fleet also.

Surprised about these. Route 19 is not one of the most frequent routes. Route 21 does not even serve the centre of Edinburgh.Marine is getting its batch of the buses for the 19 and 21.
There's been none on the 44 for the last week, so I wouldn't expect much luck unless anything changesOtherwise I keep to route 44.
Surprising? Definitely. Will it last? Not too sure. Am I happy for now? 100%Surprised about these. Route 19 is not one of the most frequent routes. Route 21 does not even serve the centre of Edinburgh.
That said, as I shall be in Edinburgh next Friday I shall be willing to ride one on either route if they are in service by then. Otherwise I keep to route 44.
All of the Longstone Ones are currently spread across the 3/25/33/34/35 and some possible School Journeys at timesI am shocked if this means none are currently in service for some reason
They are all still in service, just not on the 44, to find them try and go on the 3,25,33,34,35 and 19I am shocked if this means none are currently in service for some reason
No worries! Enjoy your trips onboard the busesThank you both of you for your assurance that they are in service albeit different routes. It could also mean surprise vehicles on route 44 such as early Volvo B5TLs or even B5LHs.
So on that basis do you think the new Marine buses won't just be getting allocated to the 19 and 21 then? The days of batches of new buses being bought for specific services are no more. I believe the policy now is that new buses go out on any service, as was the case during the Charles Evans LRT era.
4/5 of the 2 today is 600s. Good to see.A few 600s on the 2 today (strongly regretting not taking up a duty swap for a later start with 2s now).

So the new buses seem to be running on all Longstone decker routes apart from the 44?Here's hoping for my next two Sundays with long stretches on several different 2 boards
Also, 924 working out of Central on the 41.
Odd for a longstone bus to go on the 41 (I know this has happened before)Here's hoping for my next two Sundays with long stretches on several different 2 boards

Chiefly used on the 19 and 21, but not exclusively. Certainly the days where most new buses were bought to upgrade a particular service are gone. And good too to see new batches being split between depots again, rather than all of the batch being based at one depot. So on that basis do you think the new Marine buses won't just be getting allocated to the 19 and 21 then?
My memory of new buses in the 80's and early 90's was that a new batch would generally be split between the three depots. Taking the the E301-E335 MSG batch that appeared in 1988 as an example. 301 - 310 went to Marine appearing mainly on the 26,85 and 86. 311-323 went to Central mainly appearing on the 10, 11 and 16 whilst 324-335 went to Longstone and would mainly shown on the 3, 31 and 33. This pattern followed with a few batches that followed as well.
And we've now got 450 running on the 44Also, 924 working out of Central on the 41.
And we've now got 450 running on the 44I notice it doesn't have any times to go back to Balerno however, so I wonder if this is a spare journey added due to major delays
Yes I see what you mean. Nice to see them mixed up a bit more now.Chiefly used on the 19 and 21, but not exclusively. I could see some of this batch moving to Longstone if this is the caseNot to mention 452 on the 36!
