Yes Inaccurate.unless you’re looking at last week when we had bad ice and snow on Dartmoor, in which case just one vehicle went and attempted based on unknown conditions, with a senior driver at the helm

Yesterday 33315 ran both ways but seems to have only tracked one direction for example on bustimes yet clicking on the ‘map’ link it has a trace both directions with arrows going both way. Click on the arrows and you can see the time it was at the locations
I was referring to days such as 16/17/18th supposedly only one bus ran both ways on the full route

That was the week when we had significant ice and snow. Read what you’ve quoted and I’ve already answered. On 17/18 there was heavy rain in Plymouth / Callington area which froze to sheet ice and saw many road closures in those areas which are the depots that the gunnislake start runs from.

Search Plymouth/ Cornwall live stories about the number of accidents on those mornings. The a38 was shut for several hours due to sheet ice.

MUL104 I believe is a commercial school route rather than a council contracted one. It features on public timetables unlike any other school bus too. It passes through areas that the children would traditionally go to Helston school and falls in the Helston catchment but many parents choose to send to Mullion instead so most wouldn’t qualify for a council bus.

Post by Marc Huws on Twitter before Christmas that 37803 was at Southampton on the way to Cornwall. Presumably it has arrived by now?
Any updates on the new buses for Mousehole? I imagine they can’t be far off from ready for delivery based on previous information.

According to the previously advised delivery schedule they should arrive this week!

Does Ilesbus have a factory in the UK or do the buses have to be imported from Turkey?

Not sure about that, hopefully we will see them soon.

With it’s time in Somerset at an end Gemini 32670 was on Truro college service 274 this morning.
It didn’t appear to be tracking on bustimes.

I'm surprised actually that these two have returned rather than being withdrawn. Is Cornwall short of buses?

There was a shortage of serviceable deckers a month or two ago although I am not sure what the situation is like currently.

Could it be anything to do with 32027 32546 32636 and 32756 being issued with a SORN Statutory Off Road Notification on the DVLA website just before Christmas?

possibly a short term measure pending cascades from other areas?

I think there are some surplus Geminis in Glasgow heading for Cornwall although plans may have changed.

There seems to be a delay on parts arriving resulting in longer than normal VOR (vehicle off road) periods.

When do the replacement buses for the Mousehole Solos enter service?

I spoke to a driver on the route today. He said he has not seen any new buses and has not been told when they are expected to enter service.

They can't arrive quickly enough. The daily allocation seems to now include a Solo SR that can't get into the village and which isn't always kept on the off-peak car working.

The Dartmoor Explorer broke down at Moretonhampstead on Monday and credit to First as they sent a 54 plate Excel decker empty from Taunton. In the end it got going after 25 mins but the Excel did form the return trip to Exeter with 10 of us on. It couldn't issue tickets and also the destination just said Buses of Somerset but still fair play for finding a spare bus and driver on a Bank HOliday. Great customer service which did not get lost on the passengers who were greatly appreciative.
