hi
I got selected in July 2023 csa1 for night tube , after that I provided required documents . Since then no update regarding medical or reference check or training
Does anyone else in same stage with me or previously have come through in recent months
Please kindly share
Regards

Seems like you’re progressing quite well, I’ve got my AC1 in late April.
Hi
Could you please give some idea how long it takes for training and reference check as I got selection and job offer in July but there is no training available

Did you pass first time ???
Yes first time going through the recruitment process and it was really simple, especially when it comes to the role play always show empathy, give the customer options and remember to talk about safety while delivering good customer service at all times

What role play did you do???
I had the homeless man at the station. I was showing empathy and gave him options. E.g go to the police station not sure if that was right. Didn't mention safety though maybe thats what let me down.

I had someone vaping, feet on the chair and invalid ticket to exit the station. I mentioned that smoking is not allowed in the network and asked politely to remove his feet off the seat as it’s unpleasant for other users, explained that his ticket is not valid to exit the station but used my discretion to allow the customer to exit the station. The homeless one is a bit tricky but it’s good you mentioned btp, and I hope you allowed the homeless person exit the station to and explaining to them that they need a valid to travel on the network. I don’t really know where it went wrong but at least you got the experience so you knew what to do next time. Don’t worry too much I’m sure next time you’ll get the job offer just don’t lose hope you’ll be fine :)

I had my roleplay back in 2020 and I had the homeless situation aswell. If I remember correctly I told them that I would look for a number for a homeless shelter, call them and then give them the directions to it.

Thanks for that. But guess what looking back I did mention got to the homeless shelter, or the job centre(stuck so started making things up). So time was up, he stood up and he said I think we need another role play. So that shocked me then he said those gates are closed, and me being shocked i said I'd open them for him instead of pointing him towards the exit . I realised my mistake on the way home. I didn't think a small thing like that would give me a rejection email. As he had finished the role play then said that.

Is a CSA allowed to call someone on the job. I didn't think I could leave the area and go to the office to call. Did you get the job???

Yes you could make your way to the control room and call someone from there. Yes I have been working for TFL for a bit over 2 years now.

I've done over jobs which have involved shift work so I was already a bit used to shifts. Obviously the early starts and late finishes can be difficult at times and also the 7/8 days you can do in a row but you get used to it. Also be prepared to be working most weekends so your social life will take a hit.

There are 4 stages

1 - Online assessment
2 - Class room based assessment
3 - Role play
4 - Interview Via Teams (8 questions, 4 warm up questions and 4 scenario based questions)

Anyone need help with the above I'll be more than happy to help

I have all the answers for all the stages.

Good luck

Ps. I have been successful and waiting for my training.
Hi, I hope you have landed your job. Could you please help me with those warm-up and scenario-based questions?

So true so much information. I will use it the next time I apply. Unfortunately, failed the tole play excercise
It’s unfortunate you had that scenario. I would’ve found it difficult myself - just scout the TfL website every week and apply for what you can (even outside of LU)!

Thank you but I haven't been in work for 20 years and TFL were the ones who allowed me to get to this stage, so I think I will try again when the time comes.
