According to someone on MerseyRailways 2.0 FB group the move is cancelled because Newport Sims is "a little under water".

I wonder who that was? I understand that it is the line leading to the facility.

To be honest, this move was booked around the Christmas Holiday period and New year's holiday period as mentioned upthread by another op, so still has its booked path to run on. Don't forget both A 319 Lnwr move from the 02 January 2024, and Even another Northern 319 move, from 04th January 2024, are both outstanding, due to situations beyond there control ie flooding and Newport Docks Simms flooding as mentioned in threads on here by ops. Don't forget see above a Northern 319 scrap move is still planned for Friday 19th January 2024. Whether its the last now one knows for certain at this current time.
However that aside what we do know is, after Thursdays 11th January 2024, 319 move.
There should be four final 319 scrap moves to go.
1. 319 Northern to Newport on 19th January 2024.
2. X2 lnwr 319 Northampton to Newport we hope. Unless rare gone by road. Doubt it. TBA
2. 319 Northern to Newport Northern 319 move TBA.

Presumably 369 is still at Springs Branch, and will make an ECS move to Allerton at some point prior to scrapping... unless the ROG 37 goes to collect it from there of course.

Sims don’t seem to have taken three-unit consists (except Pacers possibly) since the current round of scrapping started. I think they did when the slam-door units went there in the 2000s though.

No, I thought 319s were still being used ad hoc in January.

319s both north and south are officially done, jobs up here that could use a 319 have been a mix of DMU and 331s but all seem to be 331s and 323s today anyway.
