I travelled by coach. It was a Mercedes Sprinter. I caused a bit of offence at the border as I asked for my passport to be stamped. It was misunderstood as not to stamp! Other passengers were visibly offended. I got a stamp leaving Kosovo.Out of interest, how did you travel there? Train or Coach? Or hire a car? I’ve considered this when planning Skopje to try and include Kosovo.
With the Balkans, I’ve visited Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. I’d very much like to visit the rest but the few flights there are tend to be at very awkward times, meaning an expensive hotel night at Luton. It also involves a lot more planning in comparison to the rest of Europe because, well, it’s the Balkans! I travelled to Bosnia alone too, and while it was absolutely fine (one of my favourite holidays in fact), I feel the Balkans are countries where the experience would be so much better travelling with someone else, especially at times when things go wrong (and they are quite likely to!).
There is Ryanair flights to Tirana, Albania now.
Was by coach. I cant recall if the train was running then. Was that by train? If so please can I ask when and what was the traction?
We only did a day trip but by car and took train from Fushe Kosove to Pristine so not exactly adventurous!
