A new logo on the way…
Why is the Flying F Upside-down? Is it just like those times when you see an upside-down Union Jack symbolising the bearer is in distress?

Almost gives the impression that the lot was done with "comic sans" and a board meeting went "hmm, too much"...

I’m not sure the “f” even properly looks like an “f” in this new logo

At a time when many local and national politicians are talking about taking control of buses, is it wise to invest in a rebrand? Unless someone from First feels able to say "well, it's not like we've spent a lot of money on it".

That is worse than the last big rebranding that Stagecoach undertook. And after a period at which, at long last, First had got their buses looking smart....

I agree, the new livery and a he logo worked well together. I see no reason to change it.

And you will have customers moaning, you cut services, but waste money on a rebrand

I’m sure when they started painting all buses in what was up to then the electric livery, they appeared without any branding, which people said was because they were finalising the branding

Then eventually they all started appearing with the big white “FirstBus” names so presumably they must have finalised the branding

Evidently not?

Also the uniform was only recently changed to be more purple based than the more traditional navy blue uniform

Seen this video on youtube about the rebrand. Bus driver from Norwich Rachel Hirst interviews MD Janette Bell

The new logo is featured. The buses are reliveried according to their repaint cycle in response to the cost of the rebranding.

Hahha, I can't believe it is actually real. Surely someone could have floated some better ideas?

Whoever came up with this should be thrown overboard as the longer that the ex boat people are there, the more the company seems to be sinking which is a shame as before a lot of the experienced bus figures got removed and replaced with people with no experience in the industry, the operation was generally much improved over what it had been over the previous decade.

The whole thing is just pure cringe... It all reminds of me of when the whole "Better Buses for Life" and the Olympia livery came out, it was exactly same...

I genuinely cannot see that logo lasting 30 years without being changed!

I know it's often said that when something new is introduced, people are often against the change because they prefer what they know and are comfortable with, often eventually getting over it. But the change from "Willow Leaf" to "Olympia" was, like Stagecoach's change from "Beach Ball" to "Local", one I just couldn't seem to become fond of. However, I think I read the diagonally split grey front/purple rear "Electric" livery is now being rolled out as the new First Bus corporate livery? This is actually a change of livery I really approve of as I think it looks really smart... just not sure if I'll feel the same once this logo starts getting applied to it.

Wasn’t it Better Journeys for Life. Or BJs for life as it was known in house. Followed by ‘Change for Tomorrow’ of 2017.

I would of thought it would have been best to have kept the existing logo, which is widely recognised, rather than introduce that awful logo, that just doesn't do it any credit.
