Does anyone know what the hours are at Orpington once we start our training?
Roughly 0900-1500, unless it’s changed radically in the last few years.

Got my email today regarding the training - I’m Orpington too. Start times are 0900, it doesn’t specify finish times but I believe it’s a 1600 finish from what I have read on these forums previously.Does anyone know what the hours are at Orpington once we start our training?
1500 finish is even better, I was looking forward to a 1600 finish already!Roughly 0900-1500, unless it’s changed radically in the last few years.

I done my MMI at the same time as assessments, waited around 3/4 weeks for DMI
Thanks mate, I applied for slade green but have got Dartford but would of preferred Slade Green (just abit closer to me) not sure on any courses after mayCongrats on making it through the process and getting a start date! Did you apply for Dartford? I’m just waiting for a DMI and would prefer Dartford, but also open to Slade Green - I don’t suppose you know if there are more training courses planned for after May?
I applied for Grove Park in June last year and still waiting….Out of curiosity has anyone who applied to london victoria got an assessment centre date yet? Occured to me that they might be doing assessment centres in batches based on the depot we applied to.
Don’t worry about a head start. Trust me, you’ll just confuse yourself I’ve seen it happen a few times. Instead read up more about the company, routes you may drive, trains you’ll drive. The course is designed to drip feed you information so it does make sense. However, Congratulations!I had my DMI at Grove Park last week. I was very nervous and wasn't sure I came across well. Then at the end of the interview they told me that they were interviewing four people for one place on the May course*, so I've basically spent the week feeling down in the dumps waiting for the rejection email.
I got a phone call this morning- I'm in! Start May 6th assuming I pass the medical, which I'm not worried about. Obvs I am walking on air right now.
Little tip for anyone preparing for a DMI- memorise the company values statements which are in the careers portal website somewhere, I didn't as I was concentrating on having a ready answer for all the sample interview questions, so I just sat there stuttering when they asked me about them.
Does anyone know if it's possible to download the rulebook etc. that we'll be learning on the course? They told me there are 5 tests and the pass mark for each is 90%. This is an absolutely life changing opportunity for me and I'm keen as mustard not to fall at the final hurdle, I would like to get a head start...
* and re: the one place on the course, that may for all I know just be specific to Grove Park as apparently they are short of Driver Instructors, there might still be places available at other depots.
Just to add. Any rule book you’ll find online is likely out of date. As you need to be registered with RSSB to get up to date rules and the last thing you’d want is to learn old rulesDon’t worry about a head start. I wouldn’t even bother reading up on routes and traction yet. You’re going to have plenty of info thrown at you to take in and learn, it’ll make your head spin so just concentrate on that when it happens. You’ll be taught everything you need to know, at the time you need to know it.I had my DMI at Grove Park last week. I was very nervous and wasn't sure I came across well. I applied for Victoria and did my assessment last Tuesday (18th). Got my MMi in two weeks from now..Out of curiosity has anyone who applied to london victoria got an assessment centre date yet? Occured to me that they might be doing assessment centres in batches based on the depot we applied to.
They did say there are many more coming for assessments so hopefully you' will get yours soon.OK thanks all, I will not attempt to jump the gun learning the rules then, will just expect to do an hour or two of revision at home every evening...th

Hi I have applied to Dartford and have a medical booked, you can always check your southeastern portal for updates.I just wanted to ask if anyone who has applied for Dartford had received an MMI date yet? I did the first lot of assessments on Feb 18th and passed, and am now waiting for my MMI date. However, for some reason, I never received the follow-up email confirming I had passed my VSE (it just never arrived, not even in junk). I only found out after I had chased them up, so I am now a little paranoid about missing any future emails. I'm sure all is fine and I just have to sit tight and wait, but I would love to get some reassurance, lol.
Yes on the 14 of February, there were loads of dates to pick from in March! I dint wanna rush and picked 20 of March but now I’m worried because if everyone does well on the first assessments they’ll fill in all the positions but you know just keep checking your emails don’t miss your chance!Hey guys, has anyone recieved an invitation for their assessments?
