Speak of the devil and it shall appear! No sign of Lolly (16962) around the garage this morning, but Splash was just inside the workshop door as seen below;

This must have indeed been prep for an MOT as it has passed today! Would be odd MOT'ing both vehicles if they're not going to be used!

Not in regular service but AFAIK it is based at Grimsby (or was last time I saw it) and works community events

All depots should have one, I know Stagecoach East's were affected by the cold snap and they broke, unsure if it had similar effect for SCEM

It's just the state of the roads at the minute with muck and grit, add a little bit of water and hey presto! I was looking at a filthy e400 in Grimsby the other morning that had come out of the garage clean but had done a return trip to Louth and come back looking like it had never seen a wash!

Grimsby based 19533 is the first of the depot's vehicles to recieve "We've got you" livery according to bustimes.org. I can't get onto the discord that has the image of the vehicle painted however so haven't seen. I imagine it should be in a position to appear soonish

It's just the state of the roads at the minute with muck and grit, add a little bit of water and hey presto! I was looking at a filthy e400 in Grimsby the other morning that had come out of the garage clean but had done a return trip to Louth and come back looking like it had never seen a wash!

Might be like the Humber Flyer/Fastcat cross over from a few years back on one of the MANViro 300s! There are 2 full open top E400s so one of them must be a new design? Can't imagine there only being 1 Open Topper for the 17..

Open toppers have been at Hull. They get repaired here.

It seems that both B7s are mobile and being worked on, so it wouldn't surprise me if both came into service with the e400 as a spare; as has been noted previously if one failed or was required for maintenance a closed-top decker (or even a single decker on occasion) substituted.... time will tell!!

Grimsby's new repaint, 19533, was seen in the depot yard today. Sadly I can't attach a picture, but so far it doesn't have the blue/yellow/green panel on the front dash panel, nor any logos or fleetnames on the sides. It does have an old style Stagecoach "Beachball" fleetname on the front dash panel however, as well as neccessary legal lettering.

EDIT... I seem to be able to attach a photo from my phone, if the technology behaves! Picture shows repainted 19533 in new Stagecoach livery, with others in the background.

I think it's been since the start of this academic year. I drive to work around 20 past 7 each morning and 2 deckers out of use pass me, one of which I assume is the Caistor Yarborough bus.

Early in the decade they operated quite a number of Toll Bar contracts, the last of those to go was the afternoon 104 (Holton-le-Clay) which was absorbed into the 51 and then the afternoon 50 from Grimsby to Salfleet was diverted via New Waltham and Holton to cover the contract instead.
