Liverpool Central did sell one about a month ago. Couldn't get any reservations for it though and JourneyPlanner doesn't recognise that Calais is a valid destination, (but STAR does). If Liverpool Central has sold at least one then I imagine other stations will have had more.

It will be London-Dover-Calais... doable in a day...

I suspect any TVM in London will be able to sell to Calais.

Port Transfers

As a general guide allow a minimum of 45 minutes from the arrival time at the coastal station to connect with a sailing on the outward journey and a similar margin from arrival of the return journey for customers to clear customs and get to the station. Where journeys are affected by engineering work, please ensure that it is possible to connect with the maritime service in both directions before making the booking.

Buses operate between Dover Priory and Dover Eastern Docks and between Calais Port and Calais Town Centre for which a modest charge is made in each direction. In all cases, customers should check the times of their return transfers on arrival at their destination.


Tickets

Normal Anytime Day Return tickets may be issued by ticket machines. Passengers may travel by any train to the Channel Port. It is important that the correct route is shown on the tickets as indicated. Unrouted tickets must not be issued as this could cause severe problems to our customers.


Railcards

The Adult reduced fares shown are applicable to Railcard holders. The Railcard child fares are applicable up to a maximum of 4 children (aged 5 to 15 years) accompanying the holders of Network Railcard, Gold Card, Family & Friends Railcard and HM Forces Railcards. Children accompanying 16-25 and Disabled Persons Railcards must pay the full child fare shown.

Normal conditions apply to all Railcard holders e.g. Network Railcard holders - maximum 4 adults travelling together; Family & Friends Railcard holders must be accompanied by a child and so on. The normal Monday to Friday morning peak travel restrictions on the use of certain railcards (e.g. Network Railcards not before 1000) are waived in respect of Railcard holders (and any accompanying children) travelling on these day trips. A first class supplement is only available to Gold Card holders and that is only at weekends.

Whilst every assistance will be given, Disabled Persons Railcard customers should be warned that as a bus link operates between station and port they may encounter difficulty if in a wheelchair.


Reservations

Advance Reservations are not possible on P&O Ferries to Calais. Reservations are no longer essential, passengers travel subject to availability.

take a look how cheap it is to travel dover calais as a foot passenger, not sure off the top of my head, but only paid £19 each way for my car with 4 occupants recently!

You can get TOCNE Priv on P&O if that's any help; the ATOC website states:

TOC Privilege Cards issued to TOCNE and their dependants are recognised

Quite what that means in practice is anyone's guess, being (like much of the info on Priv tickets) somewhat vague. I'd quite like to know, I quite fancy un journée en France.

Foot passenger day return is from around £10.00 each way. Though in August I got a £6 day return fare from a code tweeted by P&O via Twitter.

I got the HS1 from Stratford International at 1019 arriving at 1120 and was booked on the 1240 ferry. I took advantage of the SE 20% discount and the return was around £18.50 Shuttle bus to port costs £2 each way and runs sporadically throughout the day. There is a timetable up but at 1140 with no bus was just about to jump in a taxi when the bus arrived. Check in was swift and boarding commenced at 1210.

I travelled on the newly launched Spirit of Britain of which I was disappointed with. It does have free wifi and UK plugs dotted around the ship which was about the only plus point.

Arrived in Calais at 1540 (local time BST+1hr) got the bus to town centre for EUR 2 and mooched around. Had a nice salad and glass of wine and found a small supermarket just of Place D'Armes. I walked back to the port and checked in at 1710 for the 1805 departure, arrived back in Dover at 1835 and back at Dover Priory with about 10 mins to spare for the 1944 departure. Back at Stratford International in under an hour.

As I had a great value ferry fare I upgrded to the Club Lounge for £12. Free champagne, complimentary soft drinks/nibbles/tea and coffee as well as snacks appropriate to the time of day for purchase and a personal shopping service. A great day out with a couple of bottles of nice fizz purchased.

If you are not fussed about getting off in Calais then you can do a non landing trip on the ferry and you will return to Dover approx 4 hours after you depart.

No this is standard return foot passenger price if you just book the ferry crossing alone from P&O website. You need to add a train fare onto this price to get to Dover.

As a side note Avoid SeaFrance like the Plague, they are on the verge of bankruptcy, unless you are booking only a couple of days in advance!

oh ok, i cant see it being much of a saving on the online prices at the moment though (unless they do a Priv discount for free), Average price is £5 single, play around with booking system, some are as cheap as £4 each way, the most expensive i can see are £6.50 single.
I've seen a cashback site offering 10% cash back on P&O crossings as well, and there is often newspaper discount codes floating about at this time of year as well, to fill up ships at quiet time of the year

Many moons ago I got the Waterloo to Weymouth Quay boat train then the ferry to Jersey, if I remember correctly the Priv fare was 25p, this I think was port duty.

Not surprising really - you terminals, buses and bridges to accept foot passengers, and if you don't get enough to make the cost of those worthwhile, why bother (particularly if the bulk of your business is freight, anyway).

Some of the ones that don't take foot passengers do take bikes, though. Although not the Ramsgate ones.

although stena pulled out of the Stena P&O partnership in 2003, now its just P&O, so would a stena-P&O ticket be accepted by P&O solely?

It looks as though its just the routing that still references Stena - the restriction text acknowledges that it's now just P&O (incidentally, it also refers to 16-25 railcards, so it has definitely been updated in the last couple of years, so is definitely not just a ticket that's been left in the system by mistake)

No i have a brittany ferries ad. Ironicaly i booked 2 crossings with Brittany Ferries yesterday for next year!
