Not quite sure I follow… a quick search on BRFares shows “via Birmingham” and “not via Birmingham” fares, the latter of which is much cheaper. Presumably the latter is intended for journeys involving a change at Tame Bridge Parkway, which are offered by the National Rail site?

That was about a separate issue on Friday. The line was open again Saturday morning and running normally. Falling over again on Saturday evening in a very similar location was a separate incident. Unclear if directly related. Maybe, maybe not.
