    Interregional in Romania

I don't think you need to find an exception written anywhere. It's the other way round - the default position is No, unless explicitly covered. The vast majority of European carriers are covered by the pass, of course, so in reality you can usually just look for the few that aren't. But you...

Whence and Whither in ČD Journey Planner

:E That reminds me of the (probably apocryphal) story of an American airliner flying into Doha, and upon speaking to ATC was told ‘cleared to land runway 16L, inshallah’, to which he replied ‘err, negative, we are approaching runway 16L, Hamad International’.

Just had a push notification from LNER. 10% Perks (up from 2%) for bookings until 3 May. Obviously this applies to LNER journeys only (or journeys that include LNER, I think), but would stack with any LNER credit card cashback offers you have.

Of course, the Avios didn't arrive by Monday. And the support ticket has been closed, so the only way to raise it again is by calling them and starting again from the beginning with an agent who doesn't know what Avios are... It's almost as if it's designed to be impossible.

Bizarre interaction on ZSSK train - Interrail refused

I assume if you’re forced to buy a new ticket or pay a penalty, Eurail well reimburse you? Shouldn’t have to, of course

That's good news. I think they quote ten days after the end of the validity of the ticket, so you would be looking at the end of March for that one. It's always tracked for me without problem, taking a week or two. (Unlike the promotional Avios)

    Special Offers Discussion

Agree with @RAPC here. It's not BAEC's problem to solve any more than it's your banks fault if somebody promised you £50 and didn't pay. Certainly in my case, I'm receiving the regular 1 Avios per £, and received some bonus Avios. So the deposit mechanism is working. It's Uber who sent the...

I've had the same problem. They credited some Avios from November's promotion, but only half what I was owed. Uber CS tells me I have to contact Omio, Omio just says they'll forward everything back to Uber. Nobody I speak to seems to have a clue what Avios are, nor can they find any reference...

London Terminals to London Underground Zones 1-6 for Heathrow

Thanks for the replies. It confirms my suspicion that I was correct from the beginning! I can forgive the TfW ticket office in Chester for not knowing the intricacies of TfL, but it’s a little embarrassing that the guy at Euston didn’t know that it was the wrong ticket. It would be simpler to...

London Terminals to London Underground Zones 1-6 for Heathrow

Journey was Euston to Heathrow T4 by Northern Line & Elizabeth Line on a Sunday evening, holding a Network Railcard. I thought the cheapest ticket would be an Off-Peak Day Single for £9.95 and tried to buy this from a machine at Chester without success. With a few minutes before my train to...

LNER to pilot removal of Off-Peak tickets

Having emailed David Horne when this was announced, I've just had a reply from a Senior Customer Relations Manager. It acknowledges my thoughts, but doesn't address any of them. He's also promised me a £25 voucher (which I didn't really want, and which hasn't arrived anyway!) and offered me a...

Retailer refunded wrong ticket, for a journey I had taken

Thanks. I have email copies of the conversation with Uber/ Omio. Their replies don't seem to grasp the problem, but keep telling by me that I can change the second ticket. I've sent another one this morning, which hopefully covers everything?

LNER to pilot removal of Off-Peak tickets

Another effect of removing Super Off-Peak, which I don't think has been mentioned. Current you can get an onboard upgrade at Weekend First prices during the Super Off-Peak. I guess that's gone too.

Retailer refunded wrong ticket, for a journey I had taken

I tried to make a change to an Advance ticket yesterday, because I arrived early at the station. I had a ticket for the 10:27 but had arrived just in time for the 10:00. Uber offers fee-free changes. You have to buy the new ticket, then request a refund for the original. So I booked the new...

Introducing RailUK Tickets - support the forum when booking your rail tickets!

Thank you. I couldn’t find any way of searching that would result in those splits. It always involved at least one split somewhere else, that would render the tickets unsuitable for flexibility. Is there any possibility perhaps in a future update for the search results to show which other...
