    SWR Metro Guard Interview

Cheers for that, somethings to be thinking about there.

    Interview with south western rail

At the gate would suggest they believed it was a one off honest mistake. Invited to an interview would suggest they have evidence of multiple invalid journeys, which they believe are deliberate and potentially could lead to a court appearance. Potentially an offer could be made for the person...

    SWR Metro Guard Interview

Hi, Going for an interview for a Metro Guard based at Woking. I'm interested to know if as most SWR jobs the interview is based around STAR style questions? Surprisingly its booked for an hour and a half, which is longer than most. Any suggestions on things which would be worth reading up...

Practice SCAAT, RAAT & RVCE tests.

Thanks everyone for their help. Been to Southampton for my metro guard assessment. As said first two tests were SCATT and RAAT. I brought OPC packs, and they are excellent. The actual tests were designed by them. If you done well enough then there was the verbal test RVCE, making notes and...

Practice SCAAT, RAAT & RVCE tests.

Thanks for that. The OPC website has a SCAAT (Safe Concentration & Attention Test) example, searching for certain letters in a block. A Practice Transport Verbal Reasoning Test example, which it recommends for the RAAT (Rules Acquisition Aptitude Test), multiple choice correct answer, from...

Practice SCAAT, RAAT & RVCE tests.

HR have contacted me about going to Southampton for assessment tests, as a Metro Guard. I assume these will be quite different from those I originally done for station staff. I believe they will be the ones listed in the title. Can anyone suggest websites to get practice tests (there is a link...

    TV advert reminiscences

I always remember the group of workmen in the back of the transit van singing "will it be mushrooms, fried onion rings, just have to wait and see. we hope it's chips, it's chips". Was for the Birds eye beef burger shaped like a steak.

    Gateline Induction Course

I didn't mention it in the title but I assume the induction continues into a training course of some sort. "A free thermos" I don't believe you, surely the idea of a hot drink while stood on a freezing cold platform just isn't allowed.

    Gateline Induction Course

Starting soon as Gateline staff, got a date for start of the "Induction" course. What sort of things can I be looking forward to?

    Roster for Gateline Staff

Looking at job based at Woking, believe shifts are 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm. How does this normally work? IE. 2 early, 2 late, 2 off. Week early, week late, week off. Thanks

Is there an Assessment day followed by Interviews if it goes well?

Type of questions asked at a SWT RO interview

Got an interview on Wednesday for a RO(2) RDR. Understand the questions are likely to be of the STAR style "tell us how you..", "tell us why you...". Has anyone got further information of potentially what should be thinking about. Thanks

    Extra Assessment Websites

Done the assessment went well, interview next week. For a RO2 position the examples they sent you covered all the tests, the hard element was the amount of questions to be done in the timespan given. So lots of practice is the answer.

Could you work for the railways if you were epileptic?

It was, served in the army for 12 years, had a Hang Glider Pilots licence, have a driving licence but can imagine in todays world still being turned down for a station job.
