  • Hey. Yes I love the dash series!! I'm hoping that some of the train operators do start looking at new talent so I can apply. I know not living over there in the UK seriously hurts my chances but I have to try. As soon as I can realistically get moved over there I'm going to do it in order to make my chances better.
I'm also hoping my airline experience can show TOC's that I have the ability to work in a high stress, highly technical environment.

    Anyway, thanks for the message!
    Hi Speedbird01,

I've got plenty of hours myself on the Dash 200/300 & 400, I loved the 400!

As for train driving, unfortunately if you're not a qualified driver with a train operating company then you won't be classified as 'experienced', but they tend to use the word "qualified" rather than "experienced". The only route into the job for guys like you and me is as a trainee. There was no external trainee recruitment for years over here but in the last 2 to 3 years that has changed as the industry seems to have woken up and dragged itself out of the dark ages, so there is a way.

    Regards,

    Flyboy.
