Things have certainly changed since I worked for LUL. Interview at Baker Street including an arithmetical test, medical same day. Back to Baker St waiting for results of medical.
Positive outcome, received confirmatory letter in due course with start date of trading at RTC White City. 2 weeks there then station training at Barbican, 4 weeks. Back to RTC on a Sunday for practical and written assessments. Come back on the Monday to discover your fate. My first Booking Office was Moorgate Met.

Yes it’s a scenario based interview SBI, but I PERSONALLY structured my answers around the star method.. I used the 10
Minutes to gather my findings around the star method. It worked for me. Each to their own. Good luck

Hi. I have just received the onboarding documents. As it all needs to be emailed, do you just scan over a passport photo of yourself for the oystercard?

Thank you for the response.
What would SBI be all about? Could you share your experience? How did you get through this and some key points please?

Will they disqualify if I use the STAR method?

Thanks for your time

Hey how was your roleplay and SBI?

Mate! Sorry to know that. You would definitely do better next time. What mistake did you do to be disqualified? It would be an area that we would avoid and it helps a lot of us. Please share

Does anyone know what information they ask when doing reference checks?

I have an old disciplinary and I'm worried this might stop me getting the job

Thank you for the response.

I used the STAR method in the SBI, I believe it helped me structure my answer well

Thanks for your response. Is it just the Roleplay and Scenario based interview? Or were you asked general interview questions like,

Why TFL?
When was the time you went an extra mile to help a customer?

Something in those lines.

Please respond as this would help me in my preparation too.

You must pass role-play first to move to the next stage.. it’s purely the SBI, they will give you a scenario then 10 minutes to take notes, then I believe 15 to discuss what you would do, Again I used the star method to structure my answers but it’s not compulsory.
I got through mine so quick he did ask me what skills I have to make a successful CSA. Not sure if anyone else was asked additional questions.

I’ve just done my screening.. so the reference is intense they ask a lot of questions such attendance, disciplinary’s etc etc… my attendance hasn’t been the best these last couple of months so I was concerned but luckily for me my employer can only send out standard company references so reed used my hmrc work history and it was fine.. make sure you download the hmrc thing because if tfl don’t get a response from your employer they will use that.

Anyone else got confirmation training date and the uniform order form.. I did yesterday

Hi!
I received a uniform order form on Monday and I also have a provisional start date. I haven’t had my screening or medical and I don’t have a date for either as yet. Have you had your medical yet? I believe you are slightly ahead of me in the process. Our paths may cross during training. All the best.

Hi
My screening is done. I’m not doing my medical till next month as my training starts in may. Because I already work under TFL it’s the rule I wait 3 months before switching role. Annoying

Good luck

There are 4 stages

1 - Online assessment
2 - Class room based assessment
3 - Role play
4 - Interview Via Teams (8 questions, 4 warm up questions and 4 scenario based questions)

Anyone need help with the above I'll be more than happy to help

I have all the answers for all the stages.

Good luck

Ps. I have been successful and waiting for my training.
I have received an email from TFL to book slot for Class room based assessment. Could you please help me, on how to prepare for the Assessment.

Hi all.

I had my roleplay and SBI a month ago at Ashfield House. I know i passed my roleplay and I then completed the SBI as best I could but I'm yet to hear any update since then.

Does anyone know whether I should follow up or play the waiting game?

Is no response a good indication as I'm thinking I've maybe been placed on some kind of wait list - if I'd failed the SBI surely they'd have let me know immediately...right?

Sorry a lot of questions and worries swirling through my mind as it's a job I really, really want.

What did they ask in stage 2 that is class based test written communication and interpretation test

Hey

How can I contact you?

Also anyone can help me with this query

Done the second stage class room based assessment few days ago

For one of my sections - the bold writing which you have to rewrite, I didn't finish the sentence. I'm almost certain I got 90-100% in every other section. But do you think me not having enough time to finish the sentence will 100% screw me?
Please make me aware with the test questions types in written communication test second stage

Please make me aware with the test questions types in written communication test second stage
First test will be grammar test in which you need to find out 15 grammar mistakes from 3 paragraphs in 7 minutes.

After that there will ticket interpretation test in which need to check validity of ticket , date of ticket, validity of card. 10 minutes will be given for 20 tickets.

At last there will be Map interpretation test there will be questions like which lines goes to Pimlico, how many zones passengers will cross travelling from Harrow to Hounslow..what will be the last train for Oxford street such type of questions relatively. 10 minutes will be given for 10 questions.

Don’t worry so much as examiner will give you all details and example questions as well to practice at test.

Just be helpful and use common sense don't show any frustration for RP

SBI read the document they sent it explains everything... Try to learn as much as you can about the job role and the goals of tfl and the task of a csa and try to implement it into your answer

Edit: Referencing is just checking if you worked somewhere, your old work is not allowed to say anything bad about you, just confirm whether you worked there or not.

The DBS is a basic one checks any unspent convictions or cautions.

Seems like you have done your assessment, would you mind sharing your experience?
It was nice just that the map section was hard for me because I’m new in London

But I haven’t heard from them since on the 16th

I’m exactly in this same situation…the waiting period comes with a lot of tension….how many days gone are you?

I think, it’s gonna take a while. How was your Role Play and SBI? Any suggestions for me please?
It’s just acting, show empathy, ask basic questions and try to help… for the SBI, be conversational and reasonable….. but if you read back this thread, you’ll find informations that are very helpful….
