Virgin trains to have special carriages for football fans

It is the red alarm that makes people see red. Anyway back onto the topic at hand, separating two very different categories of passenger is in everyone's interest and it is good to see that work is being done to put this into practise.

Virgin trains to have special carriages for football fans

Oh you can tell I can assure you. Potentially loud passengers are very easy to spot. They do not quietly enter the station and wait for their train. They make lots noise and typically are singing out of tune songs. Children, families and large groups do make noise. However it is easy to walk...

Virgin trains to have special carriages for football fans

I HATE LOUD FOOTBALL FANS! They cause me and everyone else a lot of stress and need to be kept well away. The quiet and considerable ones are more than welcome to sit near us. I doubt there would be any booking taking place. When you arrive at the station, if you look like you're going to...

LNER Seat Reservations Policy (prioritising reservations for Advance fares over walk-up fares)

I am curious, lets say you call to book a seat and are lied to about none being available. You later find that there are infact lots of empty seats on the train much to your surprise. Would you be able to persue LNER for any compensation because of their outright lie? Also what happens if you...

LNER Seat Reservations Policy (prioritising reservations for Advance fares over walk-up fares)

Why not lie about what ticket you have? When the guard comes round I doubt they will make a fuss and say that you are not entilted to your reserved seat unless you pay £200 to upgrade your ticket. That would be shocking. I am tempted to try this out with my "cheap ticket" on my journey...

    Best pen for carnet

I would say a biro as the ink is impossible to rub off. A felt tip pen is as easy to remove as licking your finger so avoid them

    Used wrong oyster card

I don't see what would stop them? Nobody at the airport will arrest them over a £2.40 unpaid fare and this situation will certainly not affect their ability to get a visa. So long as they are not caught again they should be fine. It was an honest mistake and will never be recorded as a criminal...

    Nothing at all!

    Used wrong oyster card

Honestly, international visitors to the UK have nothing to worry about. There was a thread on here about a Polish person who was stopped by an inspector and given grief over not having the correct ticket and nothing ever came of it. As people have said, persuing someone abroad is not worth their...

Oh a promotion return fare! I didn't know that is what was meant. Well, two singles still make a return right?
