TfGM Bee Network - fleet discussion

The frequency is higher than it used to be, therefore not enough of the “Vantage” buses to go around?

Stagecoach Lake District by Bus 2024

Workington is surely the best in terms of structure, although it’s another one where buses can get blocked in by other buses due to the stands being too close together It is a county with slim pickings when it comes to bus stations though, Carlisle is pretty poor

Stagecoach Lake District by Bus 2024

I think the two issues for me are that Stand 1 is for the X4/X5 in both directions, and with traffic as it can be, both can turn up at the same time, ideally there would be two stands, but also that buses at Stand 1 can block in buses at Stand 2 meaning they have to reverse to get out I wonder...

Manchester Metrolink - Speculative ideas on how to improve it?

That seems pretty complicated I’d just number the services 1 to 9 to give an added bit of clarity on top if the current line colours 1 Bury to Piccadilly 2 Bury to Altrincham 3 Altrincham to Piccadilly 4 Eccles to Ashton 5 MediaCity to Etihad 6 Airport to Victoria 7 Trafford Centre to...

TfGM Bee Network - fleet discussion

I take most posts about the Bee Network with a pinch of salt as there are obviously lots of strong opinions due to the politics of it all

    Blackpool Trams News

Imagine people waiting at “the norbreck” and all those sorts of hotels and wanting to go to the Pleasure Beach, and it’s only every 30 mins Go back 10-15 years and I wonder what the combined frequency of tram and No. 1 bus was along the prom, compared to now?

Stagecoach Lake District by Bus 2024

I’ve just visited the lakes. I’ve said this before but I think it’s a shame the Lakes livery isn’t a bit more widespread, I think they should aim for most services that serve either Windermere or Keswick to be in Lakes livery. That would mean the buses at Lilyhall for the X4/X5, buses at Barrow...

    Cost of station parking

It’s £22.50 to park for the day at Leeds station Therefore if I was going on a day out by train, I either park elsewhere in the city or use the Park & Ride, or drive somewhere else (if I’m heading to Nottingham or Birmingham for example I tend to drive to Meadowhall, heading westwards Low Moor...

    Bee Network Service/Route Discussion

I mentioned a week or two ago how a journey on the V1 was spoiled somewhat by some yobs throwing bricks at the vehicle Looks like it wasn’t a one off, as reported here services V1/V2 are now not staying on the main A6 between Irlams o’ th’ Height and Pendleton Salford and are instead diverting...

    Blackpool North platform staff

At Blackpool a higher than usual proportion of passengers are likely to be intoxicated and there is likely to be a higher than usual number of unruly children with ineffective parents. Trains probably arrive at the destination with more onboard rubbish that needs cleaning than is normal as well...

East Yorkshire Motor Services, now part of Go-Ahead

Has it been mentioned that to accomodate the "North Riding" operation, Pocklington no longer run the X46/X47 services, they are now run entirely from Hull This is except the 20:10 York to Pocklington which uses a North Riding E200MMC

TfGM Bee Network - fleet discussion

I imagine this is the case Since Tranche 2 started Stagecoach have introduced various new buses. The MCV Evoras, further Solos, more of the electric buses entering service, but there has been no report of anything having been withdrawn Therefore it is likely Tranche 2 depots currently have a...

I’d guess the number of people using the X41/X43 to connect into National Express is 0.01%

Proposed Transdev X41/X43 Changes within Manchester

It’s no different to how various rail services have moved from Piccadilly to Victoria or vice versa, or stop short at Oxford Road to ease congestion on the railways People will have got used to that

Proposed Transdev X41/X43 Changes within Manchester

This is probably the point of the survey If loads reply saying it will be so disruptive they will no longer travel, they might not make the change Shudehill Interchange should be a better waiting environment than standing at the side of the road in Chorlton Street

    Transdev Blazefield

Someone has already marked it as withdrawn and removed it from BusTimes Thankfully it seems it didn’t spread to the bus station, we don’t want another Slough situation
