Was strange hearing 'intercity service' mentioned in the on-board announcement on my 222 today. Seen quite a few trains this week still in East Midlands Trains livery yet.

This is why I avoid TPE unless absolutely desperate between Sheffield and Manchester - constant overcrowding and 6-car trains so rare. Give me a northern pacer any day on this route!

Saw 222012 as EMR Intercity. Currently on a 222 and the trolley menu is EMR branded. Kidsgrove station has the EMR network map now on display.

I hadn't realised there are help points at all stations I use or pass through. Does the Peartree intercom fit in this category? I've used this but can't remember seeing a help point there recently.

I prefer the pacers when I'm travelling between Sheffield and Manchester. They're old but as long as they turn up and I get a seat then that's good enough for me.

52321 and 52302 were both at Kidsgrove this morning with EMR Regional branding on.
