    A second platform at Barnstaple isn't going to be any use unless they put in a second loop between Eggesford and Barnstaple, it's usually only a 5 minute turnaround.

    I (a guard) delayed a train (by many minutes) recently until I got a clear PTI put it into the Delay Reporting App , not a single word said and nor would I expect one. The Merseyrail James St incident is highlighted to us in training and we are reminded the guard went to jail.

    With respect you are very wrong, the Padd arrivals are not deliberately timed to miss the Exmouth departure, they are just not, just as they are not deliberately timed to be a convenient connection for the Okehampton or Barnstaple departures. At a station such as Exeter you are dealing with...

    It's not deliberate just because it's the same company the dispatcher does not have the authority to hold an Exmouth departure due to a late running Paddington as this will delay the next Exmouth-Paignton (which could easily delay another Paddington - Penzance and a XC service on the sea wall...

    So 3Z99 is in Teignmouth on the down with the failed unit on the country end...... I assume they are going to propel past the Teignmouth down crossover and then right road up to either North Pole or another run around later to take it to Plymouth? IETs 1697645880 Sorry missed that bit.

    The panel were just assigning consecutive numbers to the *Z99 headcode it wasn't anything to do with the class, a good job they stopped at 3, Thunderbird 4 is submarine .....

    Thunderbird 1& 2 on the move towards Plymouth is it now a 9+5? Thunderbird 3 just passed Dawlish on the Down to rescue the original stranded IET.

    Thunderbird 1 sent to rescue the stranded IET at Teignmouth, broke down preventing Bi Directional running. Thunderbird 2 unable to rescue Thunderbird 1 so Thunderbird 3 now being sent to have a go.......
