Is TOPS numbering all over the shop?

An inconsistency I see is the car numbering within a unit between different classes. Compare the car numbering of 345 vs 720 where in one the 3rd digit changes between cars (720) and in the other the 4th digit changes between cars (345). I would have thought this would have been specified in the...

CrossCountry HST lease to continue beyond October?

Could have been the same train I was on. 5-car Voyager on 1V56 0908 Edinburgh - Plymouth was full and standing leaving Newcastle with people left behind at York as well as Leeds were I alighted.

    Totnes to Gatwick route salisbury.

Presumably the shortest route via Guildford would also be permitted if you do not mind additional changes and it taking slightly longer. i.e. after Salisbury: Woking - Guildford - Redhill - Gatwick.

    Rangers and PlusBus

To clarify the ticket must be from OUTSIDE the PlusBus area to the relevant station. (or vice-versa) See Q&A 12: https://www.plusbus.info/frequently-asked-questions I have never had any problems buying a PlusBus with an All Line Rover at various stations but have always bought it away from...

    RealTimeTrains website

However for c2c, RTT knows to put in the 357 livery graphic the Union Jack for that unit(s?), so must have some access to the allocation despite not giving the unit numbers: https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:G81323/2023-06-14/detailed#allox_id=0 Link to RTT showing coach 7 with the...

    CrossCountry HST Diagrams

Despite being a 9 car voyager the 1703 was full with perhaps 50-100 standees. Not helped by the Nottingham just before it being terminated at New St. Fortunately it had emptied out by Sheffield. Editted for typo 1703 not 1803 !

    ECML problems today (16/5/23)

I was on 1V50 0606 Edinburgh to Plymouth HST this morning and just north of Northallerton we crossed over from the Up Fast to the Down Fast line and travelled through platform 2 (the usual northbound platform) before crossing back to the Up Fast. Fortunately we only lost 10mins.

    Bus times showing random details

Think it was Bustimes as it happened to me as well: This bus seems to have travelled several hundred miles in a few mins !! (Image below is a screenshot showing journey details from bustimes.org)

    First Greater Glasgow

As you say, yes, generally it has been around a while now across the country but I was surprised to see it still working for First Glasgow given in the vehicle list no turns are listed after 19 Apr. Means more research is needed to track down a bus, but there is still a way!
