Petrol and diesel prices - how much have you been paying?

Been seeing some huge petrol/diesel differentials recently. 164.9/196.9 being the biggest - that is insane! E10 prices bottomed out at the aforementioned 164.9 round here and are now creeping up. I saw 159.9 at a couple of Shell garages in deepest, darkest East Lancashire but unfortunately I...

How bad is Manchester Airport at the moment?

This is true, a Sunday morning in October is probably about as quiet as MAN will get. I flew out of Terminal 3 on Friday afternoon and security only took 20 minutes or so, and you'd expect that to be a busier time.

How bad is Manchester Airport at the moment?

A 0600 flight will be a pleasant experience in the airport, a 0655 flight less so. It's definitely nowhere near as bad as it was in the summer and airlines have stopped advising you arrive 4 hours before departure.

    Doncaster Sheffield Airport to reopen?

This. I've flown out of Manchester 15 times and only used an airbridge twice, when I've flown with TUI and KLM. Every time I've flown with easyJet and Ryanair I've boarded via stairs. Manchester certainly isn't a small regional airport.

    Doncaster Sheffield Airport to reopen?

While this may be true, they are the 3rd biggest UK airline by number of passengers flown.

We lost 1-0 at Cardiff last night to continue our all-or-nothing run. That 95th minute missed penalty made it a very long journey home. <(

Refunding Network Card if you now qualify for disabled railcard

It isn't and it doesn't. They can't. Yes, that is the rule.

    Cricket

Other than sharing numerous playing and coaching staff... and a home ground... and Lancs memberships are valid at Originals games... If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck...

Manchester Originals lost the final of The Hundred too just to cap it all off. Seen a trophy lifted against us 4 times this season. :'(

Online Check In Problems - Codeshare / Multiple Carriers - Manchester - Amsterdam - Houston

If you haven't done so already, FlyerTalk is the best place to ask about things like this, either on the Delta or the KLM sub-forums.

This being more runs than were scored across all 4 innings in the last game.

    Amsterdam queues

I transited through Schiphol on Saturday (UK to Schengen). I was concerned about the possibility of massive passport control queues but I was straight through in less than 5 minutes. Had a 70 minute stopover, the inbound flight was slightly late and I still had time for a pint before my onward...

I'm quite happy with the proposal and will be voting for it when Lancs put it out to the membership. I appreciate that most people who are bothered enough to vote won't be best pleased with it though.

Are internet services becoming less reliable ?

I'm currently having to use my mobile hotspot for everything as my new broadband provider have cocked things up. Getting 27mb download/14.7mb upload though which is decent enough - that's on my laptop with my work PC connected too.

Weird pricing! Price jumps massively one station up the line?!

Can we not turn this thread into a collection of anomalous fares please?:lol:

    Any current railcard promotions?

Other than the indefinite offers of 'using £10 of Clubcard vouchers' and '£10 railcard if you know a Gold Card season ticket holder', I don't think there are any discount codes knocking around at the moment.

Introducing RailUK Tickets - support the forum when booking your rail tickets!

But why do you need to know? This is a very niche persuit. When using split tickets, knowing where trains call at is necessary, knowing where those places are on a map isn't.

    Northern FF purchase issue

I'm also having the same issue - selected collect at station. I didn't try e-ticket fulfilment or different payment cards but I gather from others that this doesn't help.
